Jimmy Vincent Scott, age 71, a resident of McLeansboro, IL passed away at 1:48 pm on Sunday, August 23rd at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IL.
He worked as a police officer, a truck driver, and also served in the Special Forces in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a a son James Rodger Scott of McLeansboro, a daughter Kimberly Stover of Smyrna, TN; 5 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Mike Scott of Las Vegas, NV; Ronnie Scott of Tupelo, MS; and Tom Scott of Straitville, OH; 3 sisters: Brenda Maggio of Algonquin, IL; Geraldine Appuzo of IL, and Edna Scott of Bloomington, IL.
Mr. Scott will be cremated with no formal services.
The Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
