46-year-old Jerry Douglas “Doug” Crawford Jr. of Carmi died Monday, August 31, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN. Doug was a radiological technician and worked at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was a past Master of the Enfield Masonic Lodge 677. He enjoyed officiating football, softball and baseball games as well as golf, bowling and scuba diving.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Crawford of Carmi; parents Jerry and Jeanie Crawford of Carmi; grandmother Rosalene Lamp of Carmi; daughters Bridgett Crawford of Carmi and Brooke Crawford of Edwardsville; brother Jeffery Darin (Kristi) Crawford of Houston, TX; sister Dr. Bethany Lynn (William) Dement of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Sean Ackerman and Alexa Ackerman and a third grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 3rd at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with Masonic rites conducted at 8 p.m. The Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 4th at Cook Funeral Chapel with burial in Ditney Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Memorials may be made to the Carmi Recreation Summer League, Doug Crawford Memorial Fund, Attention: Kendra Carter, 1442 US Highway 45, Enfield, IL 62835 or they will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.
