108-year-old McLeansboro resident, Lelia Donelson died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She had been a homemaker and assisted her husband with Donelson Funeral Home for 48 years. She lived through the offices of 18 U.S. Presidents.
Survivors include four daughters, Daphne Drake of McLeansboro, Marilyn James of Kerrville, TX, Clara Nel Dillinger and husband Bob of Paducah, KY and Katherine Lakin of McLeansboro; a son, Donald Donelson of McLeansboro; 17 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 42 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Lelia Donelson will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at McLeansboro.
Visitation will be noon, Sunday, Nov. 29 until the time of service at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Foundation and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
