Idalene Carter

carter84-year-old Fairfield resident, Idalene Carter died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 at Way-Fair Nursing and Rehab Center in Fairfield. She had been a sales clerk at Spurgeon’s Clothing Store. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert V. Carter of Fairfield; a daughter, Lana (Glen) Larson of Carterville, IL; three grandchildren, Tyler (Rachel) Larson of McCordsville, IN, Todd (Allison) Larson of Carterville, IL and Emily (Aaron) Hayes of Carterville and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Idalene Carter will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday, Dec. 4 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Fairfield and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
