Sandra (Simpson) Williams

SANDRA S. WILLIAMSSandra (Simpson) Williams, 77, of Fairfield, died Monday, November 30 at 8:30 PM at her home after an extended illness. She had operated Williams and Williams US Clothing in downtown Fairfield along with her family, retiring in 1997. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and had been a member of Fairfield First United Methodist Church since she moved to Fairfield in 1961. After high school, she attended SIU at Carbondale.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry of Fairfield; a son, L. Bryan (Barbara) Williams; a daughter Tammy (Glen) Lee, and Grandson Derek (Jenny) Lee and great granddaughter, Peyton Lee, all of Fairfield; a granddaughter Lauren Williams and grandson Brandon Lee, both of Chicago; her brother Bob (Marlene) Simpson, of Herrin; and her mother-in-law, Maxine Williams, of Johnston City.

Funeral services for Sandra Williams will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Fairfield First United Methodist Church with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday, Dec. 3 at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Chancel Choir at the Fairfield First United Methodist Church.
