Doyle Edwin Judge

Judge Doyle obitDoyle Edwin Judge, age 75 of Albion, IL died Tuesday, December 08, 2015 at Grayville. Doyle began showing Angus cattle while he was a member of 4-H, and continued into his adult life, attending state fairs and showing cattle from Chicago to southern Florida. In the late 90’s, he became more involved with horses, both riding and trading. Doyle will be most remembered for his 43-year career as a law enforcement officer. He began in the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office and finished his career with the Albion Police Department, having served as Chief of Police for two appointments. He also was lead investigator for both the City of Albion and the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa (and husband Joe) Mitchell of Grayville, IL, two sons: Mike (and wife Debbie) Judge, also of Grayville, and Jesse ( and wife Denise) Judge of Washington Courthouse, OH, five grandchildren: Cole and Sequoyah Judge, Erica and Kerri Mitchell and Nicole Fore.

A Celebration of Life Service for Doyle Judge will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. He will be laid to rest next to his parents at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, with a full commendation by the Police Honor Guard.

Visitation will be 5 – 8 Friday, December 11 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Senior Citizens in his memory, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
