Jerry Lee Howell, 55, of Carmi, Illinois, died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Jerry was a truck driver and worked as a shunt driver at Toyota Indiana. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi. Jerry was well-known in the tri-state area as a martial arts instructor.
Survivors include his mother, Maxine Howell; his wife, Dora; son Odum “Odie”; daughter Sarah (Paul) Brown; sister Nancy Harvey; grandson Robert Brown, all of Carmi.
Visitation for Jerry Lee Howell will be from 5-8 pm, Friday, February 5th, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi. His remains will be cremated following visitation, and a gathering of family and friends will be at a later date.
The Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
