94-year-old Fairfield resident, Leland Edward Stine died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:25pm at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. A veteran of WW II, he retired as owner of Stine Jewelers, was a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield, the VFW, American Legion and Elks.
Survivors include two daughters Anita Donath of Chicago, IL and Sara (Gary) Ross of Overland Park, KS; one son Edward (Mary) Stine; Prairie Village, KS. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
Per Leland’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mr. Stine. The family will host an informal gathering at his home at 601 N. First St. in Fairfield on Wednesday, April 20th from 6-10PM. Food and drinks will be provided.
The Hosselton Funeral Home of Cisne is in charge of the arrangements.
