Jerry L. Applewhite, 58 of Carmi died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He served in the United States Army and did helicopter maintenance. He was a member of the American Legion in Carmi. He was also an ordained minister and preformed many local weddings and worked as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Dena; 3 daughters, Keyair (Chad) Denton of Evansville, Jeri Hester of Evansville and Heather Applewhite of Carmi; 4 grandchildren, Conner and Camden Denton and Kaylee and Kinzy Vance.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the Stendeback Family Funeral home in Carmi with Military rites being performed at 5 p.m. by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W.
