Authorities have released more details regarding a body that was found at Rend Lake on Thursday afternoon near the South Marcum boat launch. The victim was identified as 24 year-old Alicia Rae Anglese of Christopher. An autopsy is scheduled for this afternoon. Authorities also located Anglese’s vehicle further from the shore and was completely submerged. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office continues their investigation.

Wayne County Treasurer, Donna Masterson, reminds Wayne County residents those that haven’t paid their mobile home tax bills to do so by July 11, to avoid a $25.00 per month penalty. The bills were mailed out on April 15 of this year. Those that haven’t paid their Mobile Home Tax Bill can pay them in person or by mail, and can also use the Drop Box located on the west side of the courthouse. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and you can call 842-5087.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service Office in Paducah have released information that showers and potentially strong storms could impact the area on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, two to four inches of rain are possible due to a warm front. On Monday, a cold front will sweep across the region, with showers and storms developing ahead of the front during the afternoon and evening hours.

Illinois State Police will be beefing up their patrols for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. ISP District 19 Interim Commander, Lieutenant Cory Ristvedt, would like to remind motorists to drive sober, or designate a driver while celebrating the 4th of July holiday weekend.

According to Fairfield City Hall, trash pickup in the City of Fairfield will be on a one day delay schedule all of next week.
