Effie Berniece Hamilton Tevebaugh, age 95, went to be with the Lord at 4:08 pm on August 24th, 2016 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker, and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of McLeansboro.
She is survived by her son Jim (wife Laura) Tevebaugh of Austin, Texas, sister Anna Lee Cox of Cumming, Georgia and brother Charles Hamilton of Lincoln, IL; 5 grandchildren Scott McRill, Jamie and Brian Phillips, Katherine (Tevebaugh) Davis and Sarah Tevebaugh; and also 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services for Effie Berniece Tevebaugh will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with burial at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 26th at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro..
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of McLeansboro, and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
