Walter E. Brown, age 85 of Marengo, Ohio died Sunday night, August 28, 2016 at home. Walter was a 1950 graduate of Edwards County High School in Albion. He worked as a farmer for many years and served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Walter was an avid harness racer and breeder.
In addition to his wife Eileen, Walter is survived by three daughters Eugenia (Lester) Shaw of Albion, IL, Melinda Brown of Whitehall, Kathy Oliver of Marion; three sons Ron (Ruthy) Brown of Cardington, Gary Brown of Walterboro, S.C. and Doug (Sharon) Edwards of Cardington; two brothers Jim (Earlean) of Albion, IL., and Ray (Barb) Brown of Highland, IL.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Walter E. Brown will be 10 a.m. Thursday,Sept. 1 at the Gompf Funeral Homein Cardington, Ohio with burial in Fulton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 Wednesday, August 31 at the Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington, Ohio.
