Zella Mae Gibbs, 89 of McLeansboro died at 2:04 pm Monday September 26, 2016 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt Vernon Il. She worked as a seamstress at the former Elder Mfg. Company in McLeansboro. She also worked in the laundry department at McLeansboro Health care and was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
Zella is survived by 2 sons Gary Gibbs of Opdyke Il. & Donald and wife Becky ) Gibbs of Wayne City; one daughter Brenda and husband John McPeak of McLeansboro; ten grandchildren Genette ( Kevin) Murphy, Trent McPeak, Jonelle (James) Joiner, Stephanie McGee, Stacie (Aaron) Woodrome, Conan (Danielle) Gibbs, J.K.Davolt, Donald Gibbs-Davolt,
Merrilee Gibbs-Davolt and Kristin (Laythan) Musgrave; 19 Great Grandchildren, Haylee, Tristan, Alyssa, Emalee & Weslee McPeak, Jordyn & Taylor Joiner, Mikayla Ford, Kayden McGee, Preston, Aiden and Braxton Woodrome Ethan, Anna, Abby Gibbs, Heath Murphy & Gracie, Hallie & Owen Musgrave; one great-great grandson Luke Short; three sisters-in-law\, Katherine (Don) McRoy, Wilma Rose Smith and Rosemary Gibbs, also several Nieces & Nephews
Funeral services for Zella Mae Gibbs will be 1 p.m. Thursday Sept. 29, at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 10:00am Thursday until the service time at 1:00 pm at the church.
The Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangement.
