90-year-old McLeansboro resident, Donald L. Lankford died Saturday, October 15 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was an oilfield driller and owner of Lankford Drilling Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Hamilton Lodge 191 and was a member of the Polk Lodge 137. He had been a Master Mason for 65 years.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Lankford of McLeansboro; a granddaughter, Michele Lankford and husband Don Allen of Dahlgren.
Funeral services for Donald L. Lankford will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Braden Valley Cemetery with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post 106 and a Military Honor Team from Marion, Ill.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 until the time of service at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
