Lois Alverda Kelley – Gibson City, Ill.

Wayne County native Lois Alverda Kelley age 102 of Gibson City, Ill. died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 19, 2016 at the Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City. She did home health care, worked at the Dime Store, and area restaurants. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gibson City and was a member of the Wesleyan Circle within the church.

Surviving are 3 children Donald L. (Mary Lou) Kelley, Evelyn M. Kelley and Mary (Jerry) Holsten all of Gibson City, 3 grandchildren: Eva Jane (Jerry deceased) Hood of Foosland, Joan (Brian) Birdsong of Bloomington, and Richard (Linda) Kelley of Normal, 6 great grandchildren: Kathleen, Christopher, and Emily Hood, Lauren, and Matthew Birdsong, and Ryan Kelley, and a brother Fred Witter of McLeansboro.

Funeral services for Lois Alverda Kelley will be 10:30 a.m. Monday Oct. 24 at the United Methodist Church in Gibson City with burial in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Elevator fund and will be accepted at the church or the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City, Ill., which is in charge of all the arrangements.
