Iva LaRue Nelson – Albion

Iva Nelson photo92-year-old Albion resident, Iva LaRue Nelson died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 4 in Evansville.  She had been a hair dresser and had taught at the Colburn Academy of Beauty Culture. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose and was a long time member of the Bone Gap Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Nelson of Albion; two sons, Nick Nelson of Mt. Carmel and Greg and wife Nancy Nelson of Albion; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Iva LaRue Nelson will be 12 noon Saturday, January 7 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7 until the time of service at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion.

Memorials may be made to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville or the Bone Gap Christian Church and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion.
