James Leroy Farris – McLeansboro

James Leroy Farris ogJames Leroy Farris, 63, a resident of McLeansboro died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home.  He was a Farmer, a self-employed businessman, and was serving as the current road commissioner in Mayberry Township in Hamilton County.

He is survived by two sons; Quentin (Rashel) Farris of Norris City, Illinois and Clifford Farris of Harker Heights, Texas.  Two daughters; Amanda Farris of Norris City, Illinois and Heather (Ethan) Jones of Norris City, Illinois. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters; Alan Farris of East Peoria, Illinois, Charlie Farris of Peoria, Illinois, Tommy Storey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Reba French of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Judy Farris of St. Louis, Missouri, Susie Nichols of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Dixie Tucker of San Clemente,California, Diana Bowman of Pekin, Illinois and Pammy MacPhee of McLeansboro, Illinois.  Seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for James Leroy Farris will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 16,   at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in Albion Cemetery near Norris City.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 Sunday, January 15 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
