Phyllis Caldwell Hale – Clay City

80 year-old Phyllis Caldwell Hale of Clay City died  Saturday, January 21 at her home.

She graduated from Cisne High School with class of 1955. After graduation, she worked as a secretary at the Cisne Grade School for several years. She was a member of the Clay County Home Extension serving as President for many years; a lifetime member of Royal Neighbors of America, and a member of the Cisne Christian Church.  She served on the Stanford Township Election Board for many years.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Gilbert Dean Hale of Clay City; one son Joey (Kristin) Hale of Dupo, Illinois and two grandchildren Nicole and Jesse.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, at Hosselton Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6pm – 8pm Tuesday, January 24 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Clay County Animal Rescue and Shelter or the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
