Morris Edwin Knight – Crossville

MorrisMorris Edwin Knight, 93, of Crossville, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at New Harmonie Healthcare Center in New Harmony, Indiana.   Morris was a farmer, but also worked for many years as a school bus driver and janitor for the Crossville Schools.  He retired at age 82.  He was a member of the Church of Christ. Over the years, he built more than 500 wooden swings, most of which were donated to individuals and to charity to use as fundraisers.

Survivors include a son Richard (Rhonda) Knight of Carmi, Illinois; daughters Linda Trout of Carmi, Phyllis (George) Giagnoni, Shirley (Rick) Ritsch, Sheila (Alan) Napier, all of Crossville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and his beloved pet dog, Star.

Funeral services for Morris Edwin Knight will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4 at the Cook Chapel in Crossville with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.

Visitation is 5-8 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville.

Memorials may be made to the Tri State Multiple Sclerosis Association in Evansville, Indiana and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville.
