63-year-old Dahlgren resident, Marietta Holsey died at 2 a.m. Thursday, February 9 at her home. A Catholic by faith, she worked many years as a registered nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Holsey of Dahlgren; her mother, Odelia Karcher of McLeansboro; two sisters, Priscilla Holsey and husband Bill of Evansville, Ind. and Kathleen Bennett and husband Larry of Evansville; two brothers, Meinrad Karcher of Dahlgren and John Karcher and wife Tena of McLeansboro; two sisters-in-law, Wanda McElwee and husband Roy of Evansville and Glenda McElwee of Evansville; three brothers-in-law, Mike Holsey and wife Marty, Ronnie Holsey and wife Jessica and Donnie Holsey and wife Stacey, all of Evansville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, Marietta Holsey’s remains will be cremated and a private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date.
The Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
