90 year-old Fred Neil Reed, of Cisne, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Friday, February 10 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield.
Fred worked in factory maintenance for General Motors in St. Louis. He was a member of the Anthony Doherty Lodge # 1111 AF&AM of Cisne, Ainad Temple Shrine, was past worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion. He was a proud Army veteran having served in both World War II and Korea.
Surviving are three sisters Betty (J.R.) Ayers of Cisne, Mildred (Gene) Obrecht of Cisne, Glenda (Marion) Elliott of St. Louis, MO, and several nieces and one nephew also survive.
Masonic rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 14 at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, with funeral services immediately following. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will be held at Gunion Cemetery in rural Cisne. Memorials may be made to Anthony Doherty Lodge # 1111 AF&AM.
