Thomas Lee McCord – Crossville

71 year-old Crossville resident, Thomas Lee McCord, died Wednesday, March 1 from injuries sustained from a tornado.

Tom was primarily known as owner and operator of Tom’s OK Welding Service, but he was also involved in many different ventures including being a team truck driver with his uncle Whip Wilson, working for the City of Carmi’s Police Department, working for Frontier Kemper Construction Company and most recently working for White County Coal Pattiki Mine.  He was an Army veteran, lifetime member of the American Legion, a NASCAR fan, and an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He had a passion for german shepherd dogs, with his latest named Minnie by his grandson Kai.

Survivors include his wife, Debra McCord of Crossville; son Benjamin McCord and Brooke Southwell of Evansville, Indiana; grandson Kai Michael McCord.

Visitation is 4-7 pm, Saturday, March 4, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville.  Funeral is 2 pm, Sunday, March 5, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville.  Burial with military rites will be in White County Memorial Gardens near Carmi.
