Karen Rae Henson, 72, of Norris City died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, March 16 at her daughter’s home in Carmi. She worked as a florist then later was a bus driver for 27 years. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norris City.
Karen is survived by; a son, Derek (Debbie) Henson of Norris City; a daughter, Darla (Rick) Chappelle of Carmi; four grandchildren, Weston and Trevor Henson of Carmi and Kelsea Chappelle of Cape Girardeau, MO and Kaylea Chappelle of Carmi; a sister, Dianna Sloat of Farmer City; brother, Ralph Jordan of Carmi; three sisters-in-law, Martha West of Englewood, FL, Sandra (Bert) Knight of Carmi and Beverly Johnson, George, TX; and several dear cousins and friends.
Funeral Services for Karen Henson will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with burial in Rice Cemetery in Norris City.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
Memorial contributions may be made in Karen’s memory to the Norris City Memorial Library or the Norris City First Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
