Marie Elizabeth (Chrisman) Naney, age 90, a long-time resident of Fairfield died on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, in Urbana, IL.
Marie grew up in Mt. Erie, going to school & working in the Mt. Erie & Fairfield areas. She married & raised her four children in the Fairfield and Boyleston areas and is a member of the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene. After moving, she also attended Champaign First Church of the Nazarene in Champaign & Mattoon Nazarene Church when she was able.
Survivors include son Eric (Mary) Naney of Opdyke, IL, daughters Gloria (Mark) McDuffy of Urbana, IL, and Justa Tingley of St. Charles, MO, sisters Maxine Gregory of Norris City, Marietta Enyart of Louisville, Golda Mae Brent of Alaska, and sister-in-law Betty Chrisman of Thomasboro; a close friend Amanda Kinsel; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Marie Elizabeth Naney will be held on Saturday, August 12th, at 2 PM at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial at Scott Cemetery at Mt. Erie.
Visitation will be noon until the time of service on Saturday, August 12 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. A reception will follow at the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fountain of Life Church of the Nazarene in Fairfield and will be accepted at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
