James Harrell Walston

91-year-old James Harrell Walston died on Tuesday, January 2018. He served in WWII as a gunner and in the Korean War as a radio operator.  James was ordained on July 30, 1961 as a Baptist minister and has served continually at Long Prairie Primitive Baptist church for 57 years.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nellie Walston, their children:  Larry Wayne (Pat) Walston, Diane (Jim) Bolen, Kathy Cunningham, Janet (Ron) Kinkade, Deana (Gary) Marshall, James (Jerri) Walston, two brothers,  Ray and Steve Walston, one sister, Carolee VanBlaricum, thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services for James Harrell Walston will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at the Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with burial at Greenhill Cemetery south of Noble.

Visitation will be from 4PM to 7PM on Friday January 5, 2018 at the Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Long Prairie Primitive Baptist Church, West Salem and will be accepted at the Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem.
