David Austin Hardy, 49 of Evansville, IN and formerly of Carmi, passed away Friday January 12, 2018 at his home. He had worked for 20 years in the coal mining industry.
He is survived by his wife, Ronalee and their son Austin of Evansville; his mother, Janet (Gary) Baxley of Carmi; his daughter Chelsea Hardy of Tennessee; sister, Christina (Bill) Mobley of Pesotum, IL; his mother-in-law, Jane Staples of Evansville and locally an uncle, Dennis (Nancy) Hardy and aunts, Ann Hardy and Virginia Connolly. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Clarence and Elva Eck and A. Ellsworth and Mary Hardy
Arrangements are pending at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund for his son, Austin has been established at First Bank and may be accepted at either the bank or the funeral home.
