Elinor Bunnage, formerly of Mt. Erie

Elinor Bunnage, formerly of Mt. Erie, died on January 25, 2018 at 1:48 a.m. at Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL following an extended illness. Elinor was born June 25, 1934 to Casey and Inez Barnett of Samsville, IL.

Elinor married Harold Bunnage on January 23, 1953 in Albion, IL. She is survived by her four children: Tony (Marsha) Bunnage, Bill (Rhonda) Bunnage, Carol (Roderick) Vaughn, and Betty (Orrie) Rouse. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Vincent (Kim) Samford, Nicole (Tom) Byford, Kimberly (Casey) McMillin, Ryan (Megan) Bunnage, and Raymond Vaughn. Four step-grandchildren, Connie Eads, Angie Whisnant, Ken Pierson, and Kris LeCrone also survive. Elinor is survived by seven great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Surviving also are sisters Mary Ann Schwartzlose and Mae (Ron) Brandt, along with brothers Glen Barnett, Neil (Cheryl) Barnett, and George (Margene) Barnett. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding her in death were her husband Harold, an infant son (Joseph), an infant grandson (Russell) her parents, one sister (Hazel), and four brothers (Howard, Virgil, Lloyd, and Jim).

Elinor was a member of the West United Methodist Church. She was a school bus driver for over 29 years for the North Wayne School District. Throughout her life she helped her husband with their farming operation. Elinor enjoyed going camping and fishing with Harold after they retired. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Elinor was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend that will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at West Cemetery, south of Mt.
