Oscar Ross Vaughn Jr. – Macedonia

91 year-old Oscar Ross Vaughn Jr. of Macedonia, died at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 21 at McLeansboro Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in McLeansboro. He was a cook, and loved to mow and fish. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 in the South Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include two sons: Kevin Vaughn and wife Mary Jo of Macedonia, and Les Vaughn and wife Debbie of Dahlgren. Two grandsons: Dale Vaughn, Thomas Vaughn and his wife Elisabeth. Four great-grandchildren: Caleb, Caden, Anna and Abigail.

Funeral services for Oscar Ross Vaughn Jr. will be held Saturday, February 24 at 11 a.m. at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Burial will be held at Antioch Cemetery in McLeansboro. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #106 of McLeansboro and the U.S. Navy Honor Team. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 23 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Memorials can be made to the Rogers-DeWitt Park of McLeansboro and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
