James A. Mason, 68, of Fairfield, died at 4:45pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home. Before his retirement, he had worked at Airtex in Fairfield. James was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam war.
Survivors include one sister Carolyn Wildharber of Arnold, Missouri and several friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per James’ request, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the veteran’s section of Maple Hill Cemetery with full military rites.
Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials in his memory can be made to the Wayne County Humane Society and will be accepted at the graveside or at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
