93 year-old Junior Franklin “Buck” Russell of Enfield died early Saturday, April 14 at the Hamilton Memorial Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Buck retired from Whirlpool after 38 years. He was an avid gardener and woodcutter, and was a long time Deacon and member of the Enfield General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Terry (Cindy) Russell of Enfield and Robert (Tracey) Russell of Norris City; daughter, Barbara (Robert) Heck of Dahlgren. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 16 at the Enfield General Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery with military rites by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15 from 4-6 p.m. at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Enfield General Baptist Church.
