88-year-old McLeansboro resident, Lois Smith died at 6:43 a.m. Sunday, June 3 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. A homemaker, she helped her husband Jr. manage Smith’s Used Cars.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie Dale Smith and companion Michelle Page of McLeansboro; grandsons, Spencer Smith and Jeremy Smith and wife Keesha of Mt. Vernon, IL; a great-grandson, Rayne Smith of Mt. Vernon; a companion, Grover Morphis of McLeansboro; four sisters, Francis Branch of McLeansboro, Pat Harrawood of Dale, Faye Lee and husband Ron of Herrin and Donna Young of Scottsburg, IN; four brothers, Victor Knight and wife Janet of Dale, Dalton Knight and wife Marge of Dale, David Knight and wife Sharon of Dale and J.M. Knight and wife Geraldine of Alton; a daughter-in-law, Debra Smith of California and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Lois Smith will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with burial in the Oddfellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 Tuesday evening, June 5 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
