91-year-old former Golden Gate resident, Anna Belle Meritt of Katy, Texas died Friday, June 15 in Katy, Texas. She had owned and operated a beauty salon in Golden Gate, then moved to Chicago where she retired from from United Airlines.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Meritt of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Frances Jane and husband Tom Meritt, W. James and wife Dawn Meritt and Rick Dolgner; 11 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Anna Belle Meritt will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial at Simpson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Friday evening, June 22 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
