RFD Illinois – RFD Illinois is a half-hour early morning broadcast of news, markets, and weather that airs Monday through Friday at 5:36 a.m. and Saturday at 6:36 a.m. with Alan Jarand.


Alan J. Jarand has been director of radio for the Illinois Farm Bureau since April 1979. As director of radio, Alan is responsible for the management and administration of the RFD Radio Network. He also is responsible for maintaining affiliate relations with over 70 radio stations throughout Illinois. He is one of the primary radio voices for the network and does public speaking on behalf of the Illinois Farm Bureau and the RFD Radio Network. Alan is a native of Moultrie County and a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of National Association of Farm Broadcasters, Radio-TV News Directors Association, and Illinois News Broadcasters Association. He and his wife, Marjorie, live in Normal.


Rita Frazer started her Farm Broadcasting Career at WSMI in Litchfield, Illinois where she has remained Farm Director since January of 1990.  Rita has been recognized by several commodity groups and organizations for Broadcast Excellence and her contribution to Agriculture; including the Illinois Corn Growers, Illinois Agriculture Education Leadership Council, Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Pork Producers, the Illinois FFA and Farm Credit Services of Illinois.


Jim Taylor has served as News Director at WRMJ in Aledo since 1990. His reporting on rural and agricultural issues has garnered him twelve Silver Dome Awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association. He and his wife, Nichole, reside in Aledo with their four children.

A Fairfield Illinois native, Bruce is an avid traveler and sports fan.  He also plays tuba with the Roasted Chestnuts Brass Quintet.   Married to Dodie, with no children, Bruce helps take care of three dogs and two cats.  Bruce is the infamous host of “The Bruce Dickey Show” which airs weekdays beginning at 9am.  He is full of laughs and great conversation.

tomTom joined the afternoon staff in 1985. He handles paperwork for all of the stations as well as being your host for the “SWAP SHOP” weekdays at 1020am. He and his wife, Sheri, live east of Fairfield with their twin daughters, Brogan and Darian.

Dana Loesch – Dana hosts her nationally syndicated daily radio show, The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative from Dallas, Texas.  Dana appears regularly on Fox News, ABC, CNN, among others, and has guest co-hosted “The View.” She describes herself as a “conservatarian.” Dana was ranked as one of the top 16 most powerful mothers online by Neilsen.  Dana co-founded the tea party movement in St. Louis and speaks regularly on the subject of new media, gun control, anti-feminism, and grassroots.

A native Missourian, she and her family now live in Texas.
