92-year-old Fairfield resident, Augusta Colvin died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at Wayfair Nursing & Rehab in Fairfield. She had owned and operated Colvin’s Red and White and later Colvin’s Drive-in with her husband, Jim before retiring. She was also the manager of the Warehouse Outlet in Fairfield.
Survivors include a son, Otis Tennant of Underwood, IN; two step-sons, Tom Colvin of Fairfield and Dan Colvin of Florida; two daughters, Sharon Ewing of Fairfield and Cindy Israel and husband, Dr. David Israel of Mount Vernon, IL; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services for Augusta Colvin will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Thursday evening, Dec. 26 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to St. Edwards Catholic Church or to Cisne Nursing and Rehab’s Activity Fund and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
