74-year-old Wayne County native, Barbara L. Rush of Anamosa, IA died March 23, 2012. She attended Fairfield Grade School and graduated from Fairfield Community High School. After graduation, she attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville, IN. Early in life, she was employed at the Wayne-Hamilton Service Company. She also was employed part-time by Farm Business Farm Management preparing income taxes. After her daughters were grown, she worked as a secretary for the James T. Thomas Law Firm until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Allen; her daughters, Debra Dooley of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Dena Himes of Monticello, IA; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside Memorial services for Barbara L. Rush will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 23 at the Koontz Cemetery
There will be a luncheon held First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 308 S. 1st St, Fairfield, following the graveside service.
Memorials in honor of Barbara may be made to the North Side Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
