67-year-old Grayville resident, Charles Richard “Dick” Isbell died Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the VNA Charlier Hospice in Evansville. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a mechanic.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Stone of Griffin, IN; his mother-in-law, Freda Keeling of Grayville; his companion of 28 years, Penny Keeling of Grayville; sons, Andrew Arthur of Grayville, Jim Isbell of Florida, Jeff Welty of Grayville, Richard Welty of Jonesboro, IL, Dereck Welty of Illinois; a daughter, Melanie Acker of Florida; a sister, Jan Hayes of Terre Haute, IN; a brother-in-law, Joe Keeling of Mount Carmel; brothers, Carl Isbell of Grayville, Gerald Blaylock of Romeoville, IL; sisters-in-law, Nancy Wright of Grayville, Judy Keeling and Teresa Walkenbach, both of Mt. Carmel and 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Dick Isbell will be 12 noon Friday, Nov. 8 at the Christian Church in Griffin, IN with burial and military rites at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Griffin, IN.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Cook Funeral Chapel of Grayville, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
