Dolores A. (Woodrow) Rose, age 82, of McLeansboro, IL, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She served many years as a Sunday school teacher and as the leader of the congregation’s Women’s Department.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. Rose of McLeansboro; three sons and their spouses, David and Janice Rose of Enfield, Danny and Tammy Rose of Springerton, and Darin and Chassity Rose, of McLeansboro; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Other survivors include brothers Clyde (Alice) Woodrow of Enfield, Jimmy Don (Kathryne) Woodrow of McLeansboro, Jerry (Patricia) Woodrow of Carmi, and Larry (Carolyn) Woodrow of Mcleansboro; sisters Marlene (Eugene) McIntosh of Springerton and Janice Kay Woodrow of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; two sisters in-law, Marjorie Woodrow of Springerton and Marylee (Merrill) Cunningham of New Albany, Indiana, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services for Dolores Rose will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Springerton with burial in Hammack Cemetery in Springerton.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 2, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro or the McCoy Memorial Library in McLeansboro and will be accepted at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
