64-year-old Fairfield resident, Edna Mae Hodges died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville. She had been a teacher at Merriam School and had served as Secretary & Treasurer at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield. She had also taught at Frontier Community College and had worked at Wal-Mart.
Survivors include sisters, Norma Rushing of Decatur, GA and Deloris Atteberry of Cisne; a brother, John Roy Hodges of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Edna Mae Hodges will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Friday evening, Sept. 27 at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield or the church. The Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home of Fairfield is in charge of all the arrangements.
