85-year-old Fairfield resident, Edward Lee Williams died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at his home. A veteran of WW II and the Korean War, he was a manual control checker for Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Williams of Fairfield; two sons, Lee Williams of New Lenox, IL and Dennis Williams of Steger, IL; four daughters, Leta Holland of Paris, TN, Dinah LaFaber of Bourbonnais, IL, Regina Williams of Fairfield and Myrna Werner of Carbondale, IL; a brother, Jack Williams of Fairfield; four sisters, June McCullough, Betty Webb and Judy Downer of Fairfield and Jeanie Wylie of Wood River, IL; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Edward Lee Williams will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW and the Anthony Wayne Post 176 American Legion.
Visitation will be noon Wednesday, Oct. 23 until the time of service at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
