79-year-old Mount Vernon, IL and former Rockford, IL resident, Fred L. Glenn died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, July 25 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. He worked in construction, having been a house mover for Eby Movers.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Gene Ray Glenn of Seattle, WA and Roger Franklin Glenn of South Beloit, IL; two daughters, Sandra Sue Wilson of Rockford, IL and Sheila Mae Belt of Rockford, IL; 7 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Glenn of Rockford; a son-in-law, Lyman Wilson of Rockford and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Fred L. Glenn will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at the Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL with burial in Farnsworth Cemetery south of Keenes at a later date.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. til 12 noon Sunday, at the Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The family will gather at the Old Union Baptist Church following visitation for lunch.
