Summer Pet Care Tips---from Animals Requesting Friends--- Never leave your pet in a car even with the windows slightly open.  Give your pet plenty of cool, clean water at all times.  Provide plenty of shade for a dog or cat that stays outside.  Have regular meal time for pets--don't leave your cat or dog's moist pet food out for long periods of time in hot weather, it could make them sick later.  Illinois laws states that cats and dogs are required to have food, water, and shelter.  If you suspect animal neglect, call ARF's humane investigator, Linda Headley at 847-2981.  All reports are confidential!
