Radio Stations WFIW-AM, WFIW-FM and WOKZ have had no full time job opening to date during the past year.

President and General Manager David Land has served a number of years as Wabash Valley College Radio School advisory council member at Mt. Carmel, IL, attending meetings and consulting with the radio training department. Sports Director Stan David addresses Mrs. Kinney's speech class at Fairfield Community High School each year.

Dave Land manned a booth at the Fairfield Community High School's Job Fair on October 25th, 2007. He visited with a good number of students interested in a broadcasting career. The National Association of Broadcasters provided pamphlets to give to those interested.

Corporation board chairman Tom Land attended IL Broadcasters Associations' annual convention at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield, Illinois on June 17th, 2008.

He attended a one hour session on E.E.O. and had an opportunity to have discussions with those present about employment rules.

IBA Attorney Dick Zaragoza of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Washington D.C. conducted the meeting and was available to answer questions relating to EEO Requirements.

Dave Land attended a College Fair at Olney Central College in Olney, Illinois for students interested in a Radio Career, conducted by Ryan Herdes, Academic Coordinator, Upward Bound, on July 11th, 2008.

Our EEO program of the stations relies on several means to help insure a fresh list of applications for potential employee reserves during times when there are no vacancies, including:

  1. Periodic reminders to area educational institutions, employment agencies, civic organizations, and Chambers of Commerce.
  2. Consultation with present employees for referral.

NO NEW JOB VACANCIES 7/22/07-7/21/08
