88-year-old Louisville, KY resident and Cisne native, Joseph H. Samford, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Louisville, KY. He moved from the area in his early thirties, living in various parts of the U.S. from Ohio to California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida, before moving to Louisville, KY. He was a retired plumbing and electricial contractor. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a Free Mason and member of the Shrine.
Surviving are his wife Betty of Louisville, KY; one son, Joseph III; six daughters, Nancy, Josie, Paula, Joann, Cindy and Rochelle; one sister, Pauline Pelkey of Georgetown, KY; and several grandchildren.
Graveside services for Joseph H. Samford will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Maple Hill Cemetery with military rites provided by the Anthony Wayne Post 176, American Legion and Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
