86-year-old Lincoln, IL resident, Juliett “Judy” Pierson Thompson died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at her home in Lincoln. She had worked for 28 years at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping and laundry departments. She also worked in the Environmental Services department at Christian College.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Thompson of Ellery, S.L. Thompson of Lincoln, IL and Herschel Thompson, Jr. of Springfield, IL; two brothers, Alfard Pierson of St. Louis and David Pierson of Bridgeport, IL two sisters, Ethel Floy Smith of Portage, IN and Geraldine York of St. Francisville, IL; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Juliett “Judy” Pierson Thompson will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Little Prairie Christian Church at Albion with burial in Orio Cemetery near Allendale.
Visitation will be noon until the time of service Thursday, Sept. 12 at the church. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Christian Church with a funeral service at 6 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Christian Church or the Herschel and Judy Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home of Albion which is in charge of all the local arrangements.
