47-year-old Wayne City resident, Karl Lee Sexton, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at his home. He worked at Lemonds Chevrolet Chrysler in Fairfield since 1990. He was a member of the Wayne City Fire & Ambulance Department for 25 years and the Keenes Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife Carla Ann Porter; one daughter, Kasey and one son, Kaleb both at home; his mother and step-father, Kay Sexton and Mike Nash of Fairfield; his step-mother, June Sexton Bashore of Xenia; two brothers, Jody and wife Donna Sexton of Wayne City and T J Sexton of Fairfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathi Beck and Marion Brown of Fairfield; his grandfather, Rev. Leonard Donoho of Orchardville; his grandmother, Bertie Sexton of Wayne City; two step-brothers, Corey Bone of Wayne City and Kevan Barnard of St. Louis, MO; and two step-sisters, Cathy Northup of Nashville, IL and Beth McConnell of Mt. Vernon, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Karl Lee Sexton will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Wayne City Church of God at 702 West Smith Street. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 22 at the Wayne City Church of God.
Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the church.
