66-year-old Ellery resident, Larry McVaigh died Saturday, Sept. 21 at Way-Fair in Fairfield. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he managed the Shell service station on the Albion square for many years and also worked at Champion Labs.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Ellery; daughters, Sarah McVaigh of Fairfield and Rachel Turpin of Carbondale; three sisters, Rosemary Ellen Gustin of Wisconsin, Betty Lee McVaigh of Georgia and Leona Mae Kline of Indiana; two brothers, Roy Vernon McVaigh and Donald Rex McVaigh of Illinois.
Graveside services for Larry McVaigh will be 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at Graceland Cemetery in Albion. There will be no visitation. Friends and family should go directly to the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and will be accepted at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
