90-year-old Cisne resident, Loreta June Shelton died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at Cisne Rehab and Health Center. She was a retired bus driver for the North Wayne School District and had worked as an aide at Cisne Rehab and Health Center. She was also a singing evangelist in the Southern Illinois area for more than 65 years. She was a member of Bloom Southern Baptist Church near Flora.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Watson of Salem and Kathy Young of Cisne; a son, Larry Shelton of Salem; five sisters, Jeanne Leathers of Fairfield, Bonita Lowe of Cisne, Betty Ellis of Albion, Donna Thompson of Rinard and Shirley Stevens of Johnsonville; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Loreta June Shelton will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in Cisne Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Monday evening, Dec. 2 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Memorials may be made to the Bloom Southern Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
