Victoria Evelyn Gladys Nicolai
91-year-old year old rural Albion resident, Victoria Evelyn Gladys Nicolai died Sunday, August 29 at her daughter's home. A native of Headley, England, she was a retired account executive for Dunn and Bradstreet.
Survivors include her son, Michael Nicolai and wife Geraldine of St. John, IL; a daughter, Gloria Rudisill and husband Robert of Albion; four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Victoria Evelyn Gladys Nicolai will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 31 at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL

Virgil Yates
53-year-old Flora resident, Virgil E. Yates died Saturday, August 28 at the Clay County Hospital in Flora. He had been supervisor of maintenance at Sherwin William-Minwax plant in Flora.
Survivors include his wife, Jule Yates; his parents, Dale and Dortha Yates of Flora; children, Celina, Alysa and Nathanael, all at home; brothers, Mike Yates of Louisville, IL and Norman Yates of Flora; sisters, Vicky Staley and Joyce Harper of Flora and Becky Traub of Louisville, IL.
Services for Virgil E. Yates will be 10:30 Thursday morning, Sept. 2 at the Flora Church of the Nazarene with burial in the Oskaloosa Cemetery near Xenia.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Flora Church of the Nazarene.

Susan Tate
60-year-old Carmi resident, Susan Tate died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, August 27 at her home. She had been a medical transcripionist.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Wham" Tate of Carmi; a daugthter, Michelle Carter of Carmi; sons, Chris Tate of Carmi and Phillip Tate of Brownsville, IL and six grandchildren.
The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the RLDS Church in Springerton.

Donald Hartley Sr.
60-year-old McLeansboro resident, Donald Hartley Sr. died at 6 a.m. Friday, August 27, at his home. He was a welder, and had worked for Wallace's Welding. He also served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife Betty J. Hartley; one son, Donald Hartley Jr. of Pontiac, IL; five daughters, Michelle Billings of Pontiac, IL, Angie Thompson of Pensacola, FL, Katrina Hartley of Odell, IL and Violet Jackson and Tara Hartley both of McLenasboro.
Funeral services for Donald Hartley Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 29, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The body will be cremated at his request, and a family burial of ashes will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1st at I.O.O.F Cemetery in McLeansboro with military rites accorded by American Post 106 of McLeansboro.

Charles Mark White
94-year-old McLeansboro resident, Charles Mark White, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, August 27, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. He was a farmer.
Surviving are a son, David of McLeansboro; one daughter, Joyce Call of Canyon Lake, CA; two sisters, Beulah Skelton and Eulah Ray both of McLeansboro; one brother, Millage of Carmi; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Charles Mark White will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at McLeansboro.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 30, at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Mary Ann Miller
80-year-old Cisne resident, Mary Ann Miller, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 26, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her husband Andy of Cisne; five daughters, Lovina Miller and Inez Miller both of Cisne, Miriam Bontrager of Verona, MO, and Ella Mast and Annie Bontrager both of Mt. Vernon, MO; four sons, Henry of Markesan, WI, Lavern and Marvin both of Cisne and Alvin of Geff; five sisters, Martha Miller, Katie Ann Miller Lovina Miller and Emma Moore all of Centreville, MI, and Lizzie Mae Katalinich of Milan, MI; one brother, Daniel Borkholder of Jackson, MI; 34 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Ann Miller will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 30, at the Jonas Delegrange home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. til 6 p.m. Sunday, August 29, at the Miller home. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery.

93-year-old Clay City resident, Violet Kelley died Friday morning, Aug. 27 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathaleen Wenthe of Louisville, IL; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Violet Kelley will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Flora.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Augusut 31, until the time of service at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.

82-year-old McLeansboro resident, Anthony M. "Tony" Levato died at 12:10 Thursday morning, August 26 at the McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a general laborer.
Surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Zeno of Willowbrook, IL, Betty Richeson of El Paso, TX and Rose Marie Giasoll of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Funeral services for Anthony M. Levato will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 2, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery at Hillside, IL.

Dale Morgan Kinney
74-year-old Geff native, Dale Morgan Kinney of Effingham died Monday, August 23 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham. He was a retired school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Effingham; a daughter, Amy Donaldson of Effingham; brothers, Bob Kinney and Bart Kinney and a sister, Sue Green, all of Fairfield; and four grandchildren.
Services for Dale Morgan Kinney will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 27 at the Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 Thursday evening, August 26 at the Hale Funeral Chapel in Effingham, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham and will be accepted at the Hale Funeral Chapel in Effingham.
John William Hanusofski
64-year-old former Cisne resident, John William Hanusofski died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 25 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL. He had been a farmer.
Survivors include a brother, William Hanusofski of Pennsylvania and two sisters, Betty Ann Hanusofski of Norris Town, PA and Sally Landis of Pipersville, PA.
Graveside services for John William Hanusofski will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 28 at Gunion Cemetery at Cisne.
There will be no visitation. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
