Thelda Garner
89-year-old Xenia resident, Thelda M. Garner died Wednesday, June 23 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She had worked in computer programming for the Naval Underwater Sound Law at Groton, CT.
Survivors include children, Kay Spitzner of Florrisant, MO, Donna Schoonover of St. Louis, MO and Shelley Smith of Brookings, SD; several step-children; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services for Thelda M. Garner will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 28 at the Xenia United Methodist Church with burial in the Oddfellows Cemetery at Xenia.
Visitation will be from 4 - 6 Sunday evening at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Washington University Memory and Aging Project and will be accepted at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
Muriel June Webb Case
Rural Mt. Carmel Resident, Muriel June Webb Case died on June 19, 2010. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center in Mt. Carmel.
Survivors include: two brothers, Loren Webb of Albion and Warren Webb of Grayville; one sister, Carol Brisco of Wadesville, IN; two daughters, Donna Stubenvoll of Gaylord, MI and Billie Pohl of Mt. Carmel; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Muriel June Webb Case will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24 at the chapel of Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at Short Funeral Home.
Millage Lloyd Rister
89-year-old Fairfield resident, Millage Lloyd Rister of Fairfield died at 2:44 a.m. Monday, June 21 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Airtex Products after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, June Rister of Fairfield; a daughter, Karen Joslin of Fairfield; sons, Allen Rister of Cummings GA and Michael L. Rister of Villa Ridge, MO; sisters, Doris Simpson of Fairfield and Dorothy Henson of Manchester, MO; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services for Millage Lloyd Rister will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 23 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Hammack Cemetery at Springerton.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Tuesday evening, June 22 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Kevin M. LeMond, Sr.
35-year-old Wayne City resident, Kevin M. LeMond, Sr. died at 6:58 p.m. Sunday, June 20 at his home.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Kasiniger of Fairfield; sons, Kevin LeMond, Jr. and Matthew Bryce LeMond, both of Fairfield; a sister, Tonya Niday of Palestine, Il; and two brothers, Steve and Chris LeMond, both of Fairfield.
The body will be cremated and funeral services will be conducted at a later date under the direction of the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Jerry Buchanan
51-year-old Fairfield resident, Jerry Buchanan died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, June 19 at his home. He had worked at Web Printing in Fairfield.
Survivors include a brother, James Robert Buchanan of Boston.
A memorial service for Jerry Buchanan will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 25 at the Keenes Christian Church with a dinner immediately following.
The body will be cremated with burial in Victory Cemetery at a later date.
The Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home of Fairfield is in charge of all the arrangements.
Georgia Chapman
83-year-old Fairfield resident, Georgia Chapman died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She had worked at Druthers for several years.
Survivors include several cousins.
Services for Georgia Chapman will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 24 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitaiton will be 1 p.m. until the time of service at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Wilma F. Hosselton
90-year-old Clay City resident, Wilma F. Hosselton, died at 8:03 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Saint Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Surviving are two sons, Claren Hosselton and Larry Hosselton both of Cisne; a brother Clifford Pierce of Clay City; four grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, six great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Wilma F. Hosselton will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Burial will be in Zif Cemetery in rural Clay City.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 21, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City.
Memorials may be made to Zif Baptist Church or Zif Cemetery Fund.
Joy L. Mason
77-year-old Noble resident, Joy L. Mason, died at 1:25 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Oddfellows-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL. He was a retired Petroleum Engineer who worked in the oil field. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran from 1953-1955 and served six years in the reserve, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Mary Mason of Noble; three daughters, Shelby Weidner of Noble, Sherri Luciano of Crestwood, IL and Susan Berardi of Saint Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Mason and Pat Paul Mason both of Olney; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Lynch of Olney.
Funeral services for Joy L. Mason will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Burial will be in Noble Cemetery, with full military rites by the Olney Veterans Organizations.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 21, and Tuesday morning until the time of service at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney.
Memorials may be made to the Oddfellow-Rebekah Home at 201 Lafayette Avenue East, Mattoon, IL 61938.
Ida Mae Anderson
91-year-old former Fairfield and Allen, MI resident, Ida Mae Anderson, died Friday, June 18, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility in Hillsdale, MI. She had been a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Fairfield, and taught Vacation Bible and Sunday Schools. She was also a taxi-cab driver and worked in area factories.
Surviving are a daughter, Eleanor Coan of Allen, MI; one sister, Viola Mitchell of Owensboro, KY; three brothers, Carroll Lambrich of Fairfield, Dean Lambrich of Cisne and Welsey "Bud" Lambrich of Johnstown, PA; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ida Mae Anderson will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 21, at the George White Funeral Home in Reading, MI. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Monday, June 21, until the time of service at the George White Funeral Home in Reading, MI.
Interment will be on Tuesday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at the Old German Cemetery in Cisne.
Memorials may be made to the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
Mary L. Garner
85-year-old Grayville resident, Mary L. Garner, died Friday, June 18, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. She was a farmer and managed the farm business.
Surviving are two sons, John of Grayville and Carl of Greenville, SC; one brother, Walter Woodham of Grayville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a special care giver, Phyllis Briley.
Funeral services for Mary L. Garner will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Grayville.
Visitation will be from noon Tuesday, June 22, until the time of service at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
Memorials may be made to Meadowood Activity Fund or Hospice, and will be accepted at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
