Norma Jean Bruner (Modglin)
Memorial services for Norma Jean Bruner (Modglin) will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5 at the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Wayne City.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Hawthorne of Fremont, CA, Cheryl Davis of Novato, CA and Belinda Bertram of Avon, IN; three grandchildren, one great-grandson; a brother, Robert Bruner of O'Fallon, MO and a sister, Imogene Parsons of Toldeo, OH.
Services for Norma Jean Bruner are being conducted by the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
Brenda Faye (McGill) Taylor
50-year-old Fairfield resident, Brenda Faye (McGill) Taylor, died at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her husband Donnie of Fairfield; her father, Billy McGill of Fairfield; one daughter, Amber Taylor of Fairfield; two sons, Ely and Coleman Taylor both of Fairfield; three grandchildren; four sisters, Sheila Clutter, Patricia Owen and Sandra Demaret all of Fairfield and Suzanne McGill of Evansville, IN; one brother, Barney McGill of Fairfield; nine nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Brenda Faye (McGill) Taylor will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be in Springerton Cemetery at Springerton, IL.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Robert "Bob" Clites
74-year-old Albion resident Robert "Bob" Clites died Wednesday, June 2 at his home in Albion. He worked many years in the sanitation department for the City of Manhattan Beach, CA. Following retirement, he was a woodworker, making bowls, cups, clocks and other pieces of artwork.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca and Robin Clites of California and Charlene Akin of Hot Springs, AR; a son, Jeffery Fortier of California; six sisters, Betty Lea of New Mexico, Margaret Locke of California, Darlene Kaschalk of Washington, Ruth Ann Sommers of California, Linda Lou Lane of Colorado and Sandra Lee Bassette of Colorado; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; plus special friends, Bob and Carolyn Evans, Rick and Marqueata Earl and Dean and Patricia Blake, all of Albion.
A memorial service for Bob Clites will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at the First Baptist Church in Albion.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Albion and will be accepted at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion which is in charge of all the arrangements.
Lois Craddock
87-year-old McLeansboro resident, Lois E. Craddock died at 4:04 a.m. Thursday, June 3 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She had worked as a seamstress for 19 years at the former Elder Manufacturing Company in McLeansboro.
Survivors include brothers, Robert D. Gray of McLeansboro, Ralph Gray of Eldorado and W.H. (Fuss) Gray of Dale; a sister, Fern Prince of McLeansboro and several neices, nephews and great neices and nephews.
Graveside services for Lois E. Craddock will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5 at the Hebron Cemetery near Walpole. Those attending the service should go directly to the cemetery. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements.
Janet E. Watson
55-year-old Mount Erie resident, Janet E. Watson, died at 4:02 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Saint Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, and had previously worked at Johnney Manufacturing and Kern's Sewing Factory. She was also an avid shooter at local clubs, and was a member of the Fairfield Gun Club and the Edwards County Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are her husband Robert Watson Sr. of Mount Erie; her father, Earl Maurer of Crossville; one step-son, Robert Watson Jr. of Calhoun, IL; one step-daughter, Jennifer Simmons of Geff; one brother, Don Maurer of Metropolis, IL; two sisters, Barb Arnold of Carterville, IL and Alice Toombs of Carmi; three step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Janet E. Watson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will be in Stokes Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion.
Chris Crowell
25-year-old Fairfield native, Chris Crowell of Princeton, Ky, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, May 31, at Caldwell Medical Center following a long illness. He was nationally certified with the International Sports Sciences Association as a Certified Trainer and Specialist in Performance Nutrition.
Surviving are his parents, Terry and Mary Crowell of Princeton, KY; maternal grandparents, Charles and Shirley Mitchell of Fairfield; paternal grandparents, Junior and Carolyn Crowell of Princeton, KY; one brother, Andrew of Princeton, KY; one niece, two nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service for Chris Crowell will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Northside Baptist Church in Princeton, KY.

Bennie "Wayne" Simpson
84-year-old Flora resident, Bennie "Wayne" Simpson died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 1 at his home. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian of Flora; children, Herbert Simpson of Alton, MO, Ella Mae Mix of Cisne, Thomas Simpson of Flora and Robert "Speed" Simpson of Ingraham, IL; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Bennie "Wayne" Simpson will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with burial in Clay City Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Saturday evening, June 5 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Lena L. Rogers
86-year-old former Flora resident, Lena L. Rogers of Weatherford, TX died at 5:55 a.m. Monday, May 31 at Weatherford Healthcare Center in Weatherford, TX. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include children, Richard Rogers of Burbank, CA and Larry Rogers of Graford, TX; a sister, Mary Jane Henson of Royal, AR and one grandhcild.
There will be no formal services for Lena L. Rogers. The Frank & Bright Funeral Home of Flora is in charge of all the arrangements.
James Wesley Duvall
64-year-old Clay City resident, James Wesley Duvall, formerly of Evansville, IN died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. He was retired from Kraft Foods in Evansville, IN and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a son, Brian Duvall of Clay City; two sisters, Bertie Tremper of Wisconsin and Carolyn Casper of Newburgh, IN; three brothers, Charles Duvall of Mattoon, KY, Richard Duvall, Sr. of Evansville, IN and Donald Duvall of Chandler, IN; an uncle and aunt, Jake and Helen Lowey of Evansville, IN; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
The body will be cremated and there will be no services.
The Hosselton Funeral Home of Cisne is in charge of all the arrangements.
William "Bill" Terrell
71-year-old Grayville resident, William "Bill" Terrell, died Friday, May 28, at his home. He was an oil producer and U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Wanda; one son, Billy of Grayville; three brothers, Arthur Glenn Terrell of Smallville, GA, Robert of Maryland Heights, MO and Donnie of Crossville; two sisters, Juanita McDaniels of Lapel, IN and Sue Terrell of Mount Vernon, IN; special sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo and Ray Marks and family, and George and Georgia Houck and family; special nieces and nephews, Jeffrey and Sherry Tice and Shelly and Jeff Osborne; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services for William "Bill" Terrell will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Burial with military rites will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Grayville.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
